Hey Girl! Do you find yourself retaining more weight in the summer? Or maybe you’re like me and trying to figure out why your energy level is low around the middle of the day?
I wasn’t really sure why I would feel so drained, so I did what anyone would do: Confide in some friends. A few of them had experienced the same issues I was having and suggested this yeast-free and sugar-free diet. It’s a diet that helps you detox from the sugars and yeast that cause all kinds of problems in the body – including fatigue. Some of the other signs your body might be over-producing yeast are:
- Brain fog
- Itchy skin
- Mood swings
I figured it couldn’t hurt since I was already not feeling my best, so I jumped right in. Using the Ultimate Candida Diet program by Lisa Richards, I read up on the diet and how it works. One of the key pieces of advice she gives is to “Starve the Yeast!” The reason you have to also fast from sugar is because the yeast feeds off of the sugar, making it impossible to get rid of it. For example, did you know eating too much sugar can double the yeast in your body in 1 hour?
I’ve been on the diet now for 12 days, and boy do I feel better! At first it wasn’t easy because my body just wasn’t used to it, and quite frankly, I was going through withdrawals. I had gotten so used to eating the stuff that was literally weighing me down, that I got headaches when my body was craving it during the yeast-free diet. I knew I just needed to get through the first few days, so I kept going, and you know what? I feel so good, I’ll probably continue for a full 90 days.
I Even Got To Use More Our It Works Products!
What I loved about the diet, is I was able to use a few of the It Works vitamins and mineral supplements. This was key for me because the diet has to be followed strictly during the first few weeks, so it was good to be able to use my own products to help me get better results. I am using the It Works Greens (probiotic), our Regular (colon health) and It’s Vital Complete Nutrition Pack. It’s important to have a good multi vitamin during this detox. During this phase you want to make sure you are getting all the nutrients your body needs, so your body can properly detoxify the yeast. I have found many supplements on the market use mediocre ingredients which don’t help the body. These are my favorite products that I use on a daily basis.

Recipe is just Kale, Olive Oil and SeaSalt

Remove the ribs from the kale and cut into 1 1/2-inch pieces. Lay on a baking sheet and toss with the olive oil and salt. Bake until crisp, turning the leaves halfway through, about 20 minutes. Serve as finger food.
